Attendance Recovery Process Updated
The current Attendance Recovery process provides guidance on how to accurately record recovered attendance based on existing system functionality. This process ensures attendance records remain accurate and compliant while enhancements are pending.

Internal Tracking
- Teachers no longer need to use custom fields to track attendance recovery information.
- Attendance recovery can now be tracked directly within the system using the updated tools.
- Navigate to:
Teachers > CMS - Classroom Management > Attendance Recovery

- Select Add Event to begin.
- Use Generate Report to view previously entered information.

- Use Generate Report to view previously entered information.
- After accessing this section,
- Name your Attendance Recovery
- Give it an Event Date
- Add & Assign Teachers
- Fill out the Reoccurrence information if this is a recurring event.
- Select Reoccurs Weekly
- Select the days it repeats
- Select an End date
- Select Save.
- It is going to automatically open your newly created event.
- From the Original Page, once you generate the report, you will also see your event and Quick actions on the right-hand side that allow you to Track, Assign Students, Edit the Event, and Delete.

- Add your students using the person icon, to start tracking.
- Once students have been added, you can return to this page and select the first start icon to start tracking the days.
- Return to this page to track a student's time and sign-out time. This will calculate their daily minutes. Also, utilize the comments section if need be.
- Use the clock icon next to the field to set the time to the current time.

- Select Save
Admin Internal Report

Navigate to Reports > Attendance Recovery Summary
- You can Print/ and or Export this report utilizing the filter section

- Select Generate Report
- Underneath the actions, select the eye next to a student to review an in depth of the student's hours.


- The Plus (+) icon activates once sufficient hours are banked.
- Select the Plus icon.
- Apply the Attendance Recovery to either P1, P2 , or Year End.

- Select Save.
CALPADS
This update is scheduled for release before the end of the year.

Download the EOY STAS file and manually enter the new “Attendance Recovery Days” total

P1/P2/YE Attendance Report
- (Update in progress) Include the ADA generated through AR in the new section of the P1/P2/YE report in the state software as described below:
- 2025–26 Highlights Attendance Recovery ADA: Line B-8 is a new informational reporting line in 2025– 26 (Other Tab (Section B)) for students participating in Attendance Recovery pursuant to EC 46211. ADA generated through an Attendance Recovery program should be included in Section A or in the Attendance Supplement School District, Attendance Basic Aid Choice/Court-Ordered Voluntary Pupil Transfer, and Attendance Basic Aid Open Enrollment entry screens and reported separately on Line B-8
