Buzz Tips/Tricks
Buzz Tips for schools using the two-way Integration with School Pathways-Buzz/Agilix
If in doubt perform a SAVE on the class in School Pathways if information not sending over as expected for class
Gradebook settings, weights, scales will be set in Buzz & we will pull those into the School Pathways Gradebook
School Pathways looks for the following for assignment/grade info to bridge:
-
-
Due Date, Submit Date, Grade (or any combo)
-
If due date is present it will pull the assignments into the School Pathways (SP) gradebook and AWR. If grade is present it will drop into the system also.
-
Once assignment is submitted in Buzz, the due date will be updated to the submit date and grade earned will be brought over into SP and fall into the appropriate Learning Period (LP) and will be appropriately reflected on the AWR.
-
If submitted in LP 2 it will be reflected in the LP 2 AWR
-
-
If grade is given such as zero, it will notate work as completed

Programmer Notes
-
Per School Pathways IT/Programing, we show absolutely anything that has a grade in it, which in this case is 0 as they have specified in their buzz settings. Since those contribute to the overall grade, we show them
-
We consider "completed" as anything with a grade specified
-
Since we always show anything that affects the grade, we show assignments/grades which affect the overall grade for this student
Groups with Buzz: Not Recommended when utilizing the two-way integration with School Pathways:
-
Used within Schools PLP class cause an issue with grades matching between the two systems
-
Use Case: Create one class and enroll students then they use the groups within Buzz to group students by grade level
-
Schools have found this causes issues for themselves, but also leads to sync issue with grades between the two systems
Duplicate Classes in Buzz when using the Bridge
-
Issue: occasionally the integration will cause a duplicate of the Buzz classes for students (within the Buzz/Agilix environment)
- Solution: reach out to your School Pathways contact who will prompt a duplicate resolution to be performed. The turn around on this is fast!
- Our Solution/Development: We are in the process (Nov 2023) of adjusting programming that will prevent duplicates from being created. We will put a notice on the Release Notes as soon as that is resolved.
- Troubleshooting: We run the anomaly report on the SP side periodically to detect duplicates for our schools utilizing the integration.
