# Canvas Integration- Managing Courses Available in School Pathways

## Manage which Canvas courses are available in School Pathways to attach as curricula to CMS/PLS Classes.

In the Canvas two-way integration, once a course is pulled into School Pathways, it is available as curricula. When updates are made in Canvas (course deleted or archived), users must hide/delete it in School Pathways

- In Canvas, a course was archived or deleted
- In Canvas, a new version of a course was added

#### Managing available Canvas courses in School Pathways

Navigation: Teachers \> Manage Curricula 

Filter by "All Staff" and use the search box to type in "canvas"

Click Update

- Unless specifically looking for one you have already hidden, use the defaulted option for "Only Non-Hidden"

Using the checkboxes, find the Canvas course you no longer want available to your staff to associate with School Pathways classes

- If the column for "# Classes" is 0, and you do not want to use this course ever, you can click the "Edit Properties" and Delete
- If there are classes associated in the "# Classes" column, and they are for students finishing out the current course, but you no longer want to use for future classes, use the checkbox to the left of the course name. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click "Hide Selected"

- If the School Pathways classes are being updated to a corrected version of the course, we recommend changing out the curriculum on the School Pathways class first, and then either hiding or deleted the course you no longer want to see.

#### Un-Hiding Courses (Curricula)

Navigation: Teachers \> Manage Curricula

Filter by "All Staff" and use the search box to type in "canvas"

Choose the bubble for the option "Only Hidden"

Click Update

- Un-Hide a course- check the box to the left of the course name. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Unhide Selected
- The Course/Curriculum will now be available to choose as curricula to attach to a School Pathways class, which will send that student section over to the corresponding Canvas course.
