Accessing the Classroom Status Report

To open the report:

  1. Go to Reports > External Bridging > Google Classroom Status > Verify Courses

This page will show Google Classroom courses organized by teachers that are connected to your SIS courses in School Pathways. Choose the teacher you wish to examine and then click refresh.

Understanding the Report Layout

For each course, you'll see two sections of information:

Local (SIS) Course Details

  • Course name and section

  • Assigned teacher(s)

  • Enrolled student(s)

External (Google Classroom) Course Details

  • Google Classroom course name and section

  • Assigned teacher(s)

  • Enrolled student(s)

This side-by-side comparison allows you to validate that SIS and Google Classroom records match.

Verifying Course, Teacher, and Student Sync

Check for alignment in both systems by reviewing:

  • Teachers listed in the SIS but missing from Google Classroom

  • Students missing in either the SIS or Google Classroom

  • Courses with incorrect or outdated links

If everything is synced properly, both systems will show identical course names, teachers, and enrolled students.

Investigating Discrepancies

If discrepancies exist, click the "External ID" next to the course to view detailed mappings.

This course-level detail page shows:

  • All teachers tied to the Google Classroom course (even if not in SIS)

  • All students currently enrolled in the Google Classroom course

This view can help confirm whether a sync issue is isolated to the SIS or the external platform.

Resolving Common Sync Issues

Issue: Student or Teacher Missing from Google Classroom

Fix:

  1. Open the SIS course.

  2. Remove the End Date from the student or teacher’s enrollment.

  3. Click Save to trigger a re-sync.

The missing individual should appear in Google Classroom within minutes.

Issue: Student Linked to Wrong External ID

Fix:

  1. Contact School Pathways support:

    • Reach out to your Account Manager or our Customer Support Team

  2. They will clear the incorrect external ID mapping.

  3. Once cleared, reassign the correct SIS link.
