What data can we “Collect” with the Collector Tool?

• Students
• Staff Data? (Currently not available but we have an improvement in the works to allow Batch Mode
• A-G Enrollment indicator

Ways to collect

• Collection on screen
• By ID- and ways to support this

Modes

• Collection- Mass identical changes to a selected group
• Batch Mode- Allow the user to flip between students to make changes that aren’t necessarily identical. 
• For example: Updating Support staff but different start dates. Batch allows you to be on the Support Staff Tab and to make changes and then move to the next student on the list to make the next round of changes. 
• Limits the amount of navigation/clicks to get to the next student.

 

What Does the Collector Do?

1.The Collector Tool enables users to make bulk changes to a specific group of students. When using the "Collector" function, these changes need to be identical. We will provide more information about the "Batch Mode" later in this article.

• • Examples: Group of student transferring from their current IS Staff Associated teacher to a new IS Staff Associated teacher (Same Finish dates/Same Start dates)
    • Can be accomplished in two collector functions on the same group of students
  • Example: Group of student being started with their new IS Staff Associated teacher as of a shared start date with the new teacher
    • Accomplished with one collector function on the same group of students
