Course Catalog: Edit Courses and Push Changes to Classes
This feature will allow you to make changes to a Course, and have all classes associated with the course be update as well.
Navigation
Admin > Transcripts > Master Course List
- Search for the specific course
- Click Edit
Once inside the course, you can make edits the majority of attributes for the course
- Exceptions: School Year, School Type. These are greyed out so you can view them, but cannot edit them.
- To make edits to School Year or School Type, you can copy the original course and make the changes prior to save. You can then use this course to associate to new classes, or update existing to point to the new course.
Once all other changes have been made, you can save the course. If classes (PLS or CMS) are attached you have the option of pushing the changes down to those attached classes.
- Check the box for "Update PLS/CMS Classes"
- Choose which type- if there are both types, you can edit the course and scroll down to choose the other a second time.
- Choose what you want to update- if you made changes to one of these items, you will check the box
- Click Save- changes will be pushed down to all attached classes
If changes are needed to update classes already finalized on report cards, then report cards will need to be unfinalized and refinalized to pick up the changes.
