Overview of Fall 2 Submission
Fall 2 includes several data categories submitted to CALPADS:
- 
Staff Assignments (CRSE, SASS) 
- 
Student Program Participation (SPRG) 
- 
Course Enrollment (SCSE) 
- 
Teacher of Record Information 
The Fall 2 window typically opens in late October and closes by mid-February, but timelines vary by LEA. Confirm submission dates with your authorizing agency or chartering organization or visit the Fall 2 reporting roadmap for more information.
Staff Data Preparation
Before generating Fall 2 reports, ensure staff records are complete and accurate.
✔ Employment Records

Go to Admin > Staff Management > Staff Profile. 
- 
Confirm Employment Start Date and Employment Status are entered for each active staff member. 
- 
Ensure the SEID (Statewide Educator Identifier) is entered. 
✔ Job Classifications
- 
Every active staff member should have at least one Job Classification assigned. 
- 
Use the correct CALPADS Job Classification Codes. 
✔ Credentials and Assignments
- 
Enter all appropriate credentials or intern authorizations. 
- 
For teachers, ensure their assignment is linked to courses.

Student Program Setup and Verification
Fall 2 includes reporting for students enrolled in specific programs, especially those tied to funding or services.

Go to Reports > Students > Students in Special Programs to verify entries.

All programs must have a valid Start Date within the academic year.

End Dates are only required when the student exits the program.

Enrollment and Course Data Review

Courses must be created and linked to assigned teachers.

Ensure all classes have valid Start/End Dates, Course Codes, and Education Service Codes.

Confirm all students have active course enrollments. 
- 
Ensure grade levels and class settings are accurate (especially for elementary settings).

Each course must have an assigned Teacher of Record. 
Use the Fall 2 Compliance Report to identify gaps in teacher-to-course links.

Within School Pathways, go to Reports > State/Federal > CALPADS Reports to access the Fall 2 file types:
