Security Page Policies
The Security Policies feature allows administrators to manage and enforce key security settings across the system.
Navigation
Go to: Admin > Policies > Security
- These policies pertain to the Security section (Admin > Security > Security) and can provide guidance or support if any issues occur within the Admin area.
There are 26 Policies in this section.
- Allow House Hold Email Resend
- Default Username Format —This policy can only be changed by a School Pathways administrator.
- Email Parents and Students Logins
- Permission Requests
- Default Password Format —This policy can only be changed by a School Pathways administrator.
- Keep Student SCHOOL EMAILS same as their LOGIN ACCOUNT.
- Should the Primary Parent record be given the same login as the REG-Online household?
- Algorithm to use for Hashed Passwords
- Minimum Password Strength Required
- Check Password Strength Using the Modern Password Entropy Estimator?
- Allow passwords to be revealed? —This policy can only be changed by a School Pathways administrator.
- Require Two-Factor Authentication?
- SMS Two-Factor Authentication —This policy can only be changed by a School Pathways administrator.
- Allow "Remember this device for 30 days" for 2FA?
- User Inactivity Timeout
- Remove the Stay signed in checkbox and functionality that appears on the portal login page
- Hide the School/District input section on the login page
- Expire "Stay Logged In" sessions when inactive for this many days. —This policy can only be changed by a School Pathways administrator.
- Enforce Permissions by Regions? —This policy can only be changed by a School Pathways administrator.
- Do you want users to ONLY see the LINKS they have ACCESS to?
- Enable TABLE-LEVEL PERMISSIONS?
- Allow users to login from external source? —This policy can only be changed by a School Pathways administrator.
- Friendly name of the SSO to display in the SIS. —This policy can only be changed by a School Pathways administrator.
- For SAML SSO, the url to be used to configure the metadata. —This policy can only be changed by a School Pathways administrator.
- For SAML SSO, the relative path to be used to configure the metadata —This policy can only be changed by a School Pathways administrator.
- For SAML SSO, the IDP cert data that we need to be configured —This policy can only be changed by a School Pathways administrator.
