Truancy Report
Utilizing the Truancy Report to view truancy data and send out custom notification letters to parents/guardians.

Accessing the Student Truancy Report
Go to: Reports > Attendance > Student Truancy Report
Filtering and Generating the Report
- Use the Filter Options by clicking the dropdown arrows to adjust parameters such as date ranges and student groups.
- The recommended "Range" is set to (Start to Today).
- Adjust the filters for number of truant days, absences, and tardies as needed.
- Once filters are applied, click Generate Report.
Sending Notifications
- Select the checkbox next to each student for whom you would like to send truancy letters.
- Review the list of students flagged as truant.
Truant students will have yellow dates next to their names, indicating periods of concern. - Select students by clicking the checkbox next to their names. A blue checkmark will appear for selected students.
- After selecting students, click Print Letters or Email Letters for Selected Students button for the desired notification to generate the selected letter.
- The numbers next to the dates and students, signifies the number of truant days, and the letter required.
- For example (Looking at the image above):
- Bradley J, had their First notification of Truancy sent. Their third instance and their First Letter of truancy was not sent. To send the third notification I would select the student, and Email Letters for Selected Student for their First Truancy Letter.
What do the colors mean on this report?
Blue- A notification/letter was emailed out.
Yellow- A notification was not sent out and signifies period of concern.
Green- The Letter was printed and the notifications are caught up.
