Uploading Test Scores

This guide will take you through the steps for importing both common standardized test scores and custom score files, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting.

Accessing the Scorefile Import

To begin the process of importing scores:

  1. Navigate to Admin > Test Module > Scorefile Import in your School Pathways system.

Uploading Common Scores

School Pathways allows you to upload scores from several standardized tests, including but not limited to:

  • ELPAC (English Language Proficiency Assessments for California)
  • CAASPP (California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress)
  • PFT (Physical Fitness Test)
  • NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Association)

To upload scores:

  1. On the Scorefile Import screen, select the desired test from the available options.

  2. If you do not see the latest file set available for the current school year, please reach out to our support team at customerservice@schoolpathways.com for assistance.

Uploading Custom Scores

For schools that wish to upload custom score files, School Pathways offers flexible options to suit various assessment needs.

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the Scorefile Import page to locate the "Other" section.

  2. In this section, you have the option to:

    • Upload to any additional score file imports available within the system.
    • Create and upload a custom score file.

To create and upload a custom score file:

  1. Select the "Custom..." option.

  2. Enter a name for your custom test in the field labeled "Enter custom test name:".

  3. Prepare your score file in CSV (Comma-Separated Values) format, ensuring it adheres to the necessary specifications outlined below.

File Format Requirements for Custom Score Uploads

To successfully upload a custom score file, your CSV file must contain a header row and include (at a minimum) the following fields:

  • studentid: The unique identifier for each student.
  • firstname: The first name of the student.
  • lastname: The last name of the student.
  • testdate: The date the test was administered (format: MM/DD/YYYY).
  • rawscore (or score): The numeric result of the test, which must be an integer or a floating-point number.
  • interpretedresults (or mark): The qualitative or interpreted result associated with the test score.
  • subtest: The name or identifier of the specific subtest (if applicable).

Important Notes:

  • Ensure that all fields in your CSV file are separated by commas and are formatted correctly.
  • Double-check for data accuracy to avoid potential upload errors.
