What Products does School Pathways Offer

School Pathways Modules:

Full SIS:

• A tool for tracking student information, attendance, and progress in grades K through 12, including grade books and progress/report cards.  SIS is an Internet web-based product and is designed to run on any computer utilizing a Microsoft Windows XP or Macintosh OSX 10.3 or newer operating system with the ability to connect to the Internet.

SIS Oversight (Add on to Full SIS):

• A tool for tracking and managing information from multiple schools connected to SIS.  SIS Oversight permits the overseeing district or other entity to manage staff and student information, create reports, and jump into individual schools.  It also unifies updates to student and staff records so that current information is propagated district-wide.

PLS (Add on to Full SIS)

• A software tool used primarily for generating monthly assignment and progress reports and tracking the progress and attendance of personalized learning students in grades K through 12. It is fully integrated with SIS, which sends all data for students (including classes, grades, and attendance generated in PLS) to CALPADS.  PLS is a web-based product accessible from any browser. It produces master agreements, curriculum pacing guides from over 7000 curriculum options, customized master curricula, grade books, assignment and work records, work summary reports, progress reports and report cards.  PLS can also link to online curricula through supported LMS providers and supports a student and parent/guardian portal where progress can be monitored and assignments accessed.

IS Options for CMS Users (Add on to Full SIS):

• These add-ons provide teachers the ability to manage Independent Study functions such as class rosters, attendance, grade books, master agreements, curriculum pacing guides from over 6000 curriculum options, customized master curricula, assignment and work records, work summary reports, progress reports and report cards.

SPArchiving (Add on to Full SIS or PLSX, included in PLS Stand):

• A database storage and retrieval product that works with SIS to allow users to store student records electronically for later search and retrieval.  SPArchiving also permits users to remove student files from active availability after they are no longer needed. 

RegOnline (Add on to Full SIS, cannot be used with Standalone at this time):  

• A software product that works well with SIS to allow submission of paperless online applications and registrations for students and to allow schools to import such applications and registrations directly into SIS.  REGOnline also permits schools to monitor registration activity and to communicate with students and their families via email.

App & Lottery

• Application & Lottery is a paid addition to our current Enrollment Interest Forms and REG-Online features. This module will allow schools to run a lottery to submit a limited number of applicants from their pool, using customizable rules. 

Barcode Attendance (Add on to Full SIS, cannot be used with Standalone at this time): 

• A hosted, internet-based product that integrates with SIS to provide near real-time access to scanned attendance information, although teachers must still approve attendance through the “claiming” process. Using either Windows or Mac computer hardware and widely available barcode scanners, School Pathways database software, and a third-party card printer, the entire system is keyed off of barcodes on generated ID cards and/or barcode stickers.
