Step 1: Set School Calendars: Admin>Settings>School Calendar:

Enter your board-approved school calendar for the next School Year

      • Define your tracks
      • Enter Calendar Days (Make calendar Active at the bottom)
      • Create Learning Periods
      • Create Reporting Periods

Step 2: Copy Catalogs between school years: Admin>Transcripts>Course Catalog: 


Step 3: Learning Center Registration Windows:

Learning Centers>Learning Centers>Management>Define a Course Registration Window: Create a new LC Registration Window for the next school year.


Step 4: Data Rollover Process          

If you are using PLS Loader  to Bring in data from your parent SIS follow steps below:

  • Finalize any student exits and transfer enrollments to the next school year in your primary Student Information System (SIS)
  • After the PLS loader successfully imports and updates enrollments for the current school year in School Pathways, remember to update the PLS loader files to start gathering data for the upcoming school year







If you are Aeries API to bring in data from your parent SIS follow the steps below

  • Finalize any student exits and transfer enrollments to the next school year in  Aeries 
  • Once enrollment updates have been imported into School Pathways, It is advisable to disable nightly imports in School Pathways until all student schedules have been updated and finalized.
  • After finishing student scheduling for the upcoming school year, remember to activate the nightly imports from Aeries to transfer the data accordingly.

If you are utilizing Templates to generate classes that are not currently scheduled in your primary SIS, make sure to finish Step 5 in the process.

Step 5: Mass Copy CMS/PLS Templates to the next school year and/or Create your New Templates



Other Important areas to Update:

  1. Take a Look at you Staff List and Update any Permissions
  2. Disable any users who are no longer employed with your school (Staff & or Students)
